MELPE Tecnologia ("we", "our") developed the Humora app ("App") as a free ad-supported application. This page informs users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
📊 Information We Collect
Humora was designed with a local-first architecture. This means:
- Your mood entries, texts, and tags are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to this data.
- Your name (optional) is stored locally on the device to personalize your experience.
- Anonymous usage data is collected via Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (screens visited, features used). This data does not personally identify you.
- App settings (language, theme, notification time) are stored locally on the device.
🛡 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your real name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
- We do not have access to the content of your mood entries or written texts.
- We do not share any personal data with third parties.
- We do not use login systems or account creation.
📰 Advertising
Humora displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Ads are displayed discreetly:
- Banners are displayed only on the Insights screen.
- Rewarded videos are optional and shown only when the user chooses to watch them to unlock content.
- We never display ads on the writing screen or during emotional recording moments.
🔥 Firebase
We use the following Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics — collects anonymous (non-identifiable) usage data to improve the app experience.
- Firebase Remote Config — allows updating app content (such as daily reflections) without requiring a store update.
🔒 Biometric Data
Humora offers an optional biometric lock (fingerprint / face recognition). This authentication is processed entirely by your device's operating system. We do not collect, store, or transmit biometric data.
💾 Data Storage
All your personal data (mood entries, texts, tags, achievements) is stored exclusively on your device using a local database. If you uninstall the app, this data will be permanently deleted unless you have made a manual backup.
📦 Backup and Export
Humora offers backup (JSON) and export (PDF) features. These files are generated locally and shared only when you choose to do so. We do not have access to these files.
⚖ Your Rights
Since your data is stored locally, you have full control over it:
- Access — all your data is visible directly in the app.
- Deletion — you can delete individual entries or uninstall the app to remove all data.
- Portability — use the backup feature to export your data in JSON format.
- Export — generate monthly PDF reports at any time.
👶 Children's Privacy
Humora is not directed at children under 13. We do not intentionally collect information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
📝 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
